Opening Times

We are open 51 weeks of the year, closing over the Christmas period and on all Bank Holidays. The nursery is open 8:00am - 6:00pm

In cases of illness

The Hill Nursery is registered with Ofsted and one of their regulations stipulates "that adequate precautions be taken against the exposure of children to infectious diseases". We ask that you do not bring your child to the nursery with a high temperature, sore throat, sickness or diarrhoea. If your child develops an infectious disease, please notify the nursery reception immediately a diagnosis is made. The need to take relevant action to prevent the spread is paramount. If your child is taken ill at the nursery we will contact you or your named representative.

In case of accidents

In the unlikely event that your child needs medical attention whilst in our care, you will be contacted to accompany them for treatment. It is therefore essential, that you inform us of any changes in address/telephone number including the contact details of your named representative the moment they become effective. If using someone other than a parent to collect, please supply written authority accompanied by a photograph.

Safety

A daily register is located in the reception area. On arrival the nursery staff will sign in your child and sign them out on their departure. In the event of fire, this is the most accurate way of ensuring the safety of your child.

The administration of medicine to your child by a senior member of staff will only be undertaken if parents/guardians have fully completed the nursery medicine book and if the medicine has been prescribed by your doctor.
